And pretty much I blame work for it. So here is a short run down on what happened since Disneyland in September.

Work News.....

1) My staff pharmacist got hit by a car. Like and F-150. She lived, but broke her pelvis, shoulder, every rib and more. So she was out, suddenly, for about 6 months. Oh and we have no extra pharmacists to help cover her hours.

2) My other staff pharmacist quit 2 weeks after that. Yeah, ok so still no extra pharmacists.

3) The pharmacy manager at another store went on maternity leave, and I somehow got volunteered by my district manager to manage both stores at once.

4) Because of the above 3 reasons, I went from working 72 hours a pay period to about 110 hours a pay period. The money was nice, but all the extra stress and hours sucked!

Dog News....

1) Tiki didn't work out like I would have liked. He and I just didn't fit and his bite went off and he could no longer be shown. So he found a new home, where he is super loved and spoiled rotten.

2) Stitch fathered another litter of mini bull puppies and I took a black tri puppy back. Named her Cinderella. She had Stitch's head, movement and personality to spare.

3) Cinder also didn't turn out, and even though I loved her, she drove me nuts. So she found a new home also, where she is the most spoiled mini bull ever! I mean seriously, she couldn't be more spoiled!

4) Stitch got another Group 1 placment at the Roseburg dog show. He was looked at for best in show, but there were a lot of nice dogs and he didn't win. Oh well, it was very exciting cause his breeder was there and we had a ton of people cheering for him!

5)Mini bull nationals happened in California. Took both Toby and Stitch to the show. It was nationals, and 2 parents shows with just mini bulls! Stitch got Awards of Merit at all 3 shows. Toby however took the cake. At the national he won Winners Dog and got a 5 point major out of the 6-9 month puppy class, and then he won Best of Opposite Sex at the nationals!!! That is a HUGE deal! I was on could 9 for a while over that one! He also won Winners Dog the next day for another major! It was a very good weekend.

6) Toby earned his championship title in 4 weekends of showing! So in November he became Ch. Gandalf's Didgeridoo calls for Adventures! Now I am just letting him grow up and mature and next year he will come out as the next special.

7) Got a new aussie puppy named Diamondhill Pete's Dragon Adventures. Elliott for short! He is so cute, adorable and very laid back. He and Toby are best friends and they play and play and play. He just turned 6 months and went to St. Louis with my friend Jackie for the Aussie national. He made the cut in his class of 14 6-9 puppies, which is a big deal. The judge really stared at him and liked him, but there were a lot of nice puppies.

8) Bought a customized Chevy cargo van that is all set up with air and etc for the dogs. It will be much nicer to travel in. But if you come to the house and see a giant white creeper van parked on the side, rest assured it is just the dog van and it is safe to come in!!

News about me.....

1) I worked my little brains out and got a little fried! Glad to finallyhave everyone back at work and a new assistant manager to help me out!

2) I left the singles ward (or they may have nicely shuffled me) to my family ward. Of which I was calling free for about 2 months, and was then put in as the nursery leader! I have 14 children to run after each Sunday and right now we have church from 3-6pm. Oye! I hate that! I can't wait to get back to a normal time. The poor kids are just so tired at the end of every day!

3) My best friend Penny finally moved back from Utah! It's about time! It is nice to have her back around to hang with!

4) She talked me into doing a cruise this spring! Ahhh and it was heavenly! I loved every second of it. I will post more about that later. I have so many pictures it wasn't even funny! Penny and I went with our friends Debbi and Karen. We had a great time and I really wish I could still be there. It's ok. Gonna have to go another day!

Well that should about bring you up to speed. It seems like a lot more happened during that time then I really thought. To be honest life was so hectic I was sort of in survival mode. Sorry I didn't update sooner. But this should at least bring you to speed. I will work on a cruise post next.

Elliott

Cinderella

Fireworks and more from Disneyland

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v9.nonxt7.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D77aa4408e0a6ea17%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331521713%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D4C948E47485355D461FBAFD9B22CFA3AB1B54735.4012DFC51810FFC53B86733EE9ACF60F0493AE8C%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D77aa4408e0a6ea17%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DrrBxQxIOw_YsJHpwp0GD9-0CHG4&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

Happy Haunting everyone! So they are starting a new HalloweentTime Fireworks show, but the decided to practice it after the park had already closed. But we could see them from our hotel really well. So of course I grabbed my camera and headed to the balcony. I caught just the very end of it, but it was still really cool! Can't wait for the full show tomorrow night, with music and everything! It will great!

The Devericks Family, Danita and Me!

In other Disney news, the week has been very HOT!! Like in the upper 90's and 100's. It has made being at the park sort of hard. You have to plan where you are going very carefully. Ride first, then a show, or someplace to sit down, then another ride. The big hits have been Splash Mountain and Grizzly River Run. It is amazing how much easier it is to handle the high degree weather when you are soaking wet!! But we have managed to have a great time, despite the weather. We have hit all the rides we wanted, seen several shows, managed to watch fantasmic and the fireworks, hang out with family, gone shopping and ate at the CheeseCake Factory. It has been a really relaxing time. That is what is most important.

Me with the Villians, errr, some of them.

Linda and Mom with Braer Fox and Braer Bear

All of us ladies with Jessie!

I just love Disneyland. Tomorrow is breakfast with Goofy at Goofy's Kitchen, then to the park. We might come back for a little break, but then we are closing the park down! They may have to drag us kicking and screaming, or maybe I will just have to bring the park back with me. I mean mom has alredy, you should see how much she bought today at the World Of Disney store. Dad is gonna pitch a fit, although a great deal of it is headed down to the new home of Doug and Angie in South Salem! Let's just say I know of two very adorable little girls who are gonna get a big kick out of their Disney Treasures. And at least one is going to be the cutest Minnie Mouse ever for Halloween!

Hope to see you all soon, and Congratulations are in order to my Brother Doug and his family on their new home, and to my cousin Annie and her husband Matthew who just welcomed their brand new baby girl, Liberty! Can't wait to get home and see you all!

Disneyland.....So Far

I know it has been a while since I updated the blog, but I have had a boring life for the most part. Well excpet dog shows, but those are probably boring to everyone but me! But this is most fun! I finally got my much desearved vacation at DISNEYLAND!! Yes those who know me well, know that I love all things Disney and pretty much only go to Disneyland for my vacations. One of these days though, I will make it to Disneyworld!

I got here Saturday morning and have been enjoying it ever since then. Only one small problem, it is stinking hot this week! Like 90's today! It wears you out a little faster. But so far with the help of my trusty hat and a gallon of sun block, no burns yet! I'll keep my fingers crossed for that! We all know I am nothing but white down to the core and that I burn like nothing else! In Sunblock I trust!!

So I am here with my mom, her friend Linda, my friend Danita, and on this day Danita's friend David joined us. We really had a great time, and David was a good sport with several of the pictures, as you will see! We did a lot in California Adventures this day, and then spent some time at Disneyland before the park closed. Later in the evening we met with my cousin Josh from Texas. Turns out he is here for a trade convention! It was so fun to hang with him in the evening and to get to see him again. Sadly I forgot my camera to take a picture with him. Oh well!

Hope you all enjoy the pictures! I am so happy to have him back. He was such a good little boy at the vets office and everybody loved him there. He is already able to walk on his leg some, but not allowed to do stairs or jump or any thing like that. Mostly he can walk in the grass to go potty, and then walk with me in the house on leash while I watch him and then back into the crate. They really don't want him doing too much at all for the next 4 week min, and 6 weeks max. He is pretty tired right now anyway, so he really isn't trying to do much. He has a good prognosis as long as we keep his puppiness in check for the next little while.

So this is the incision. The surgeon was very careful to make sure the scar would stay thin and un-noticable for showing. I was very grateful for that.

This is a picture of the fentanyl patch that he has for pain. I had no idea they used this with dogs! You could have knocked this pharmacist over with that!

Here he is looking very sad with his e-collar on. He hates it and I don't blame him. But he only has to wear it for 10 days. Hopefully they go by fast.

Here is Toby snuggled up in his new ultra plush and soft bed. Since he is going to be spending so much time in his crate I got a very comfy bed for him. He is a little spoiled!

I will continue to update on his progress over time. I would love to still have prayers and good thoughts our way that he heals up 100% and that he will still be able to show. It was a preatty bad break but I think he is on the mend. I hope for no more complications or weeks like this!

Toby Update

First I just want to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and well wishes. This has been very nerve racking for me, and I really appreicate knowing so many people care about me and my dogs, even if they aren't big dog fans! It would have made this whole experience much more trying with out you all.

Second, Toby's surgery was today and it went very well. The surgeon was very pleased how every thing went, and really feels that he should make a full recovery. They are keeping him overnight so that he can be on some decent pain medicine for right after surgery, but I get to bring him home tomorrow. The nice part is that they knew he was a show dog and worked very hard to keep the scar to a minimum. And they also feel he won't need to have the cast on his leg when he comes home. I will still have to keep his rambunctiousnes in check and he will be in his crate quite a bit, but it will be nice not to have to worry about bandage changes and have to watch him hobble around with a cast on.

So I will have picture update tomorrow. He still has some healing to do, but baring any unforseen complications, he should be fine! And that is the best news!

Toby's Accident

So it seems that just when you are feeling great and on top of the world, something happens to knock you back a little bit. So this morning I let Tiki and Toby out to play like always, when an accident happened. I was watching them outside and they were just fine, then went down the hall when I heard Toby crying at the top of his lungs. I found him on the deck just sitting there crying at the top of his lungs. I calmed him down, but when I put him down he wouldn't walk on his hind leg at all. So we had to go to the vets this morning. At the vets we discovered he had a fracture, but didn't know what kind, so then I had to take him to a orthapedic surgery specialist. There we found out that he fractured the tip of his tibia off, a condition called tibial tuberosity avulsion. So he has to have surgery to fix it. The specialist says that he has a good prognosis and over the course of a couple months should heal up 100%, but it is going to take time. And for poor Toby, a lot of time couped up in his kennel. I feel so very bad about it, but they vet said there isn't any way to keep it from happening unless you keep them couped up and never allow them to play, run, or jump. So I guess it was just the luck of the draw.

So surgery is tomorrow. I am very nervous about it, but am trying not to show it. I am sure things will go fine. I just want him to get better so he can have a normal life. Any prayers or good thoughts his way would be greatly appreciated!

Oh and a big thanks to my friend Jackie. She pulled some strings to get us seen so quickly and came and took Tiki off my hands for the week so I only have one puppy to deal with. She helped to keep me calm and sane while all this was happening.

Here are some pictures of the sad puppy. I will update tomorrow and let everyone know how his surgery went! It is amazing how fast time flies by! It has been a really fun couple of weeks since I last blogged, sadly I keep forgetting my stupid camera and don't have any pictures of it. Sorry. I will try to get some from people that were at the events. So I guess a verbal update will just have to surfice!

1. Redmond Dog Show

So two weeks ago we had a dog show in Redmond, Oregon. Stitch, Tiki, Toby, Jackie (my friend) and myself trucked ourselves over there for a fun time. And it was. We got to meet up with some other friends, Julia, Sue and Letty, and show the dogs. Stitch showed like the champion he is and took Breed on Saturday and a Group 4 also. The judge really liked him. Sadly on Sunday he got dumped to another dog and his day was done. Oh well, those are the breaks. Tiki got dumped on Saturday, but took Winner's dog on Sunday and came close to taking breed. He got his first point toward his championship and had a good time. Jackie and I also managed to get some shoe shopping in, as well as some Coldstone ice cream. It was good time.

2. 4th of July

Man that snuck up on me so fast it wasn't even funny! I couldn't hardly believe it. We had a fun time BBQ with my Aunt Karen and Uncle John's family in the morning and swimming in the pool. Later I got cleaned up and went out to Uncle Sid and Aunt Karen's property for the big Gunter shindig. It was so much fun. My cousins from Texas, Christa and Josh and thier kids, and Tara and Byron and their boys, were up for the week. I haven't seen them in a long time and it was so fun to hang out with them and get to know their kids all over again. It did make me feel really old though! Benson went from being waist high last time I saw him, to as tall as me or taller! It is just crazy!

I also had a great time hanging out with Madi and Braelyn. Madi played in the river for the first time, and threw rocks all over the place. I doubt there are any left in the river at all! And she loved the "ba booms", her word for fireworks! She loved every second of them and took turns sitting on everybody's laps. There were a lot to take turns with. And my dogs aren't scared of them at all, they slept thru everything! What good dogs!

3. 50th Wedding Aniversary

It was my Aunt Margo and Uncle Barry's 50th wedding aniversary celebration on Friday night. That was the reason so many of my cousins were up for the week. We went down to Dallas, Oregon and had a fun dinner and hung out family and old friends. My Aunt and Uncle had a great time seeing all the people. My cousin Lisa did a lot of the work coordinating and putting it together, so cudos to her! And to all the other cousins who worked hard to bring it together. We had a fun time and I am going to miss all my family that is headed back to Texas and California and Seattle and etc. I am gonna have to travel around some more and see them more often!

4. Going to Disneyland

Last but not least, I have finally decided to take a vacation in the fall, and am headed to where else...DISNEYLAND! I know that I have been there a lot, and you would think it gets old, but it doesn't! I love that place. It is like a second home for me, and since my mood has greatly improved since booking the vacation, an antidepressant also! I mean how can you be sad or down in the Happiest Place on Earth! I really can't wait to go. Mom, Linda, Danita and I are all sharing a room at the Disneyland Hotel and are just looking forward to a relaxing time!

So for now that is all from Allyson. The disney dogs are doing well, and hopefully I can get some pictures to post from other sources. I will try to get them up as soon as possible. Take care and be safe!

Things you learn when you are sick

So this week I have been sick with a nasty cold. It came on Sunday evening after the dog show was over. I could actually feel it coming on for several days, but did my darndest to try and fight it by taking airborn, vitamin C, and a little bit of echinacea. Sadly the cold won. So I ended up missing two days of work, made it thru half a day on the 3rd day, and the whole day today! I am actually feeling much better, except my ears still need to drain and pop. Then maybe I can hear again. hahaha. But I learned a few things while I was sick on the couch this past week that I thought I would share with you.

1. There is nothing on TV once Regis and Kelly are over! Seriously, nothing. I have ended up watching way too much DisneyChannel and Nickelodeon, mostly cause at least their shows are funny even if they are geared for tweens!

2. Ever door to door salesperson is going to come while you are home sick. I don't know if they have some kind of radar that lets them know when you are home, but 3 times in one day was a little much. And was most annoying when all you wanted to do was lay on the couch.

3. Be grateful for great co-worker and friends. Our part-time pharmacist Jim pulled thru for me and worked two days for me at the last minute! He is awesome cause there was no way I could make it in. And a big thank you to Connie for taking Tiki and Toby for the past 4 days. Two very busy puppies and one tuckered out mom, doesn't make for a good mix!

4. I am gratefull to have dogs and not children! Lilo and Stitch will sleep all day with me, don't talk, don't have to be changed, don't create laundry, dishes and etc. that I still would have had to clean if I was sick. I love kids, but it is at times like these I am gratefull to me a dog mom!

5. You can only lay on your back for so long. Even though it is the only way you can to be able to slightly breathe, you start to go numb after a while.

6. The stuff that comes out of your lungs and sinuses can be both totally disgusting and interesting at the same time! But still totally gross!

7. I had no idea that you could sleep so much and still be so tired! I mean seriously, sleep from 9pm till 8am, wake up, go back to sleep at Noon and wake up at 4pm, then back to bed at 9pm! I enjoy sleep, but that was a lot.

8. That I am grateful to be a pharmacist and know exactly what combination of medications I can take to treat my symptoms and manage them the best that I can.

9. Had no idea how many times I could check facebook in one day, and how many quizes there actually was on that thing!

10. And finally, last but not least, how grateful I am for my health! I can't even imagine struggling with serious health issues and don't know how people do it every day! I must truly remember to thank my Father in Heaven everyday for the health that I have and continue to make the right choices to be healthy for the rest of my life!

Thanks to everybody who helped me out and checked on me the past few days! Love you all and look forward to being healthy!

How could you not give BOB to this face!

So this weekend was the Canby dog show. It had one of the hugest mini bull entries that we have had in a long time. There were 14 other dogs. But myself and my friend Jackie have been nervous about this show for a while now. Some how we both knew that when it counted the most, we wouldn't end up taking Best of Breed (BOB). And we were right. On saturday Stitch had it, the judge loved him, but then he went and acted like a butt head at the very end, and so the judge gave it to a different dog. And Sunday the judge liked him very much, but wasn't so sure about giving it to him because he didn't win the day before. Instead she gave it to the nice 6-9 month puppy who took winners dog. (meaning he beat all the other non champion dogs who competed)

But despite our loss, we had a good time getting to see all the other bully owners that I have become friends with, and getting to see the Stitch puppies that were there. I really would have loved to steal one and put it in my coat and bring them home. They are so cute at 7 weeks. They fit in the palm of your hands! And the one was red and white like stitch and looked a lot like him. It was so much fun!

In Aussie news, Tiki showed fairly well for being a puppy. He won his class each day, but he was the only dog, but he didn't win anything other than that. It is ok though, he showed well, and the judges did think he was nice, just needs to mature. Which is true. However Roca, our friend Letty's little girl Jackie is showing, did awesome. She took reserve winners bitch (2nd for the non-champion bitches) on Satuday and Winners bitch, best of opposite sex and best of winners on Sunday! And she is only 8 months! She is a little rock star and we love having her around and having Letty as our friend. Her husband Marty took the pictures that are on here.

So now we shake off the loss and do our best at the next show in Redmond, Or. This show I am looking forward to more. There will be some other dogs and it is gonna end up as a mini vacation. So wish us all luck! We could use it to reach our goal for Westminister next year!

Memorial Day Weekend

So this year for Memorial Day our family went to Joseph, Oregon and stayed at Wallowa Lake. Big surprise! We do that just about every year, but it is so gorgous how could you not love it! Our party this year consisted of Mom, Dad, Doug, Angie, Madi, Braelyn, Penny, Traci, Me and Toby Tyler! We rented a house this year right as you enter the state park area. The house was huge and had room for everybody! We really enjoyed being able to look out the huge front window and people watch as the rv's, trucks, and etc went by.

View of the lake from a boat

The mountains we rode the ATV around.

Madi got to go on her first ATV ride around the area. Angie really wanted to ride it, so they saddled her up. Angie rode her around the property (or the horse walked Angie where it wanted) and she had a good time. Madi was not so sure about the whole thing. She chose to stay away from it and ride the ATV with Robin.

We rented a pontoon boat and took it out on the Lake. It was warmer earlier in the day, but we managed to have a fine time. But by law the girls had to wear life jackets. Who knew they made ones that fit 3 monts old! Braelyn was very comfy in hers, but Madi wasn't happy about it, so Doug and Angie wore theirs also! It made for a cute family photo!

Madi had a great time hiking (err walking around the park) and looking for wildlife. It does say the newest Disney Dog! Despite my parents stern warning that they would not like this dog and would have nothing to do with him (which lasted 10 seconds) I did get another dog. He sort of fell into my lap and it all worked out really quickly! He is a brindle and white Minature Bull Terrier. He is adorably cute! And is so funny. So now for his name. It took much deliberation, his name changed at least 30 times before I finally settled on Mom's suggestion. His name is Gandalfs Didgeridoo calls for Adventures, or Toby Tyler. Now for those who don't think that is a Disney name, your wrong, and I have the picture down below to prove it. The movie is about a little boy who runs off to join the circus. Coming to my house is probably just as close to the circus and is definatly an adventure!

So far Tiki and Toby are best friends! They hit it off right away and have a blast playing with each other every day. Stitch likes him, but sometimes gets annoyed by his puppy antics. The three of them play ver well together, which is good since they will all show together and travel together. Lilo has done better with him than Tiki, but she hasn't got to play with him one on one yet. We are taking that bridge very slowly! Here are some pictures below, hope you enjoy them.

Gandalf's Didgeridoo Calls for Adventures

Geesh mom, how many pictures are you gonna take!

The proof behind his name! I was lucky enough to be able to go thanks to a friend who had a last minute ticket! (Thanks Jackie for texting me, and thank you Brad's work for sending him to Pullman!) I met up with my friends and and we headed to our seats not knowing what we would find. What we found was that we were on the side of the stage only about 10 rows up. We could see everything super well including some of the back stage! And of course I forgot my camera. But hey, the cell phone did a pretty decent job! So I hope you enjoy the photos and the short video's. The cell phone can only take 30 seconds of video, and it is a little scratchy from all the bacground noice of the other fans there. If you get a chance to go the show I would highly reccomend it! All three preformers were awesome! And I wish I could play the guitar like that!

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v17.nonxt1.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3Dd7a2b33ef8c7144a%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331521713%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D1E8998D299A1D83E4968B04228500F03237FC4C3.768B041881A375BFC089A597CC88A8FFBFF9FDB3%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3Dd7a2b33ef8c7144a%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DnNVqJy6WCn_R8J_sRU0dNLx4Dhw&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

The Bike does it again!

So just an update on using the bicycle for walking/running the dogs. Tiki loves it, but I can only do it every few days with him until he gets bigger. But today was a gorgeous day and I really wanted to go out and enjoy it. So I decided to ride my bike anyway.

But I felt bad for Lilo, who was just sitting in the house while Tiki and Stitch were outside playing. So I decided I would try taking her for a run. I put a gentle leader on her and took her out on the bike. I was a little worried she would take off after everything we passed, but she didn't! She walked right to the side of me and even ran for a little while. We were out for about 35 to 40 minutes and she did great. It was so fun!

So now I have a fun way to exercise 2 out of the 3 dogs! I am not sure if I will try doing it with Stitch. He really does prefer to just lay on the couch. But who knows, I might try it Monday! And who knows, if I get two WalkyDogs, maybe I can even take Lilo and Tiki out at the same time! Errrr...maybe!

For the love of bicycling!

So over the past few weeks I have been trying to find a way that I could exercise Tiki. He loves to go for walks, but he always wants to go for longer and faster than I have the time or energy for. So then I thought I would try to teach him how to walk on my treadmill. That didn't go over well. The noise scared him and he wouldn't go any where near it. So then the idea came to me that I should try riding a bike with him walking/running to the side of me.

Only problem, I didn't have a bike. So I found a decent bike at my work (Wal-Mart) and purchased it, along with a helmet and a light attachment, since it is dark out all the time right now. I adjusted everything and rode it myself a few times to get the hang of it again. Amazingly I didn't forget how! Just like the old saying, "it's just like riding a bike", who knew!

The next step was to see how Tiki would like it. I was nervous that he would be scared of it, but he took to it, like a lab takes to water. We rode just in the cul-de-sac for a little bit first without a leash just to see how he would react. He followed me the whole time and loved it! So tonight I put on the leash and we braved the streets around the neighboorhood. He loved it and did great. He never got scared by the other things going on around us and never tried to pull me off the bike, or try to run into it! A success! Finally!

So now I can ride him around at least 2 or 3 times a week. He is too young still to do it every day. To much could damage his growth or joints.
I know that I haven't been on here for a while. I sort of got told that I needed to update more. Again, sorry to inform you that I lead a very dull life. I mean the only major things that have happened since the snow has been Christmas, Disneyland, and the Rose City Classic Dog show (the first big show of the year that is broadcast on Animal Planet). Ok, ok, I know that is actually a lot to blog about, but because it has all hit one week after another, I haven't really had time to process everything.

So instead I posted some pictures of Disneyland from January 2005. That year Disney was celebrating 75 years of Mickey with 75 Mickey statues. They were designed by all sorts of different people, some celebreties, some Disney stars, and some cast and crew. I tried to label them if I remembered the person's name. For example the one with all the glasses was done by Elton John.

So while I work on all the other stuff, ejoy the pictures below!

75 InspEARations!

Snow Days 2008

Hello there to all of you adoring fans! This is Stitch of the Disney Dogs. Both my brother and sister have had the chance to write on our blog, so I figure that it is my turn now. Well it has been one heck of a week around this neck of the woods. It has been the coldest and worst weather we have had in a while. It has been snowing, raining, icing, sleeting, and freezing rain the past week. Mostly it has just been cold. As you can see, I have been trying to handle it the best that I can!! It is a tough life but somebody has to do it.
This is what the scene at Grandma and Grandpa's looks like this morning. It started snowing yesterday and it just kept coming and coming and coming. Then over night it turned it to something called freezing rain and left ice on top of the snow. All I know is that it means it is COLD!

Because Mom still has to go to work despite the bad weather, we have been staying at our grandparents house. They live really close to mom's work and that way she can get there even if the roads are bad. We have been camping out in the living room, and Grandpa and Grandma have been taking care of us when she is gone.

This morning mom woke up to her car looking like this! It was totally encased in ice! And mom says that the ice was at least 1/2 inch thick! I guess that is a lot, I don't really know what an inch is. Mom had to really pull hard to get the door open. Then she started the car and let it run for a while. Even after that she still had to take a soft rubber mallet to break the ice up and get it off the windows. Must have been a lot of work because mom was tired, and frozen!

My little sister Lilo went outside in it. She wasn't too sure what to think at first. It looks like white ground and feels like it is going to hold you, but then suddenly you break through the ice and fall 8 inches into the snow. It is really really cold outside!

This is what Lilo's footprints look like in the snow/ice ground. It is weird to crunch right through the ice and then sink belly high.

My little brother Tiki and my Uncle Trouble don't seem bothered by the snow at all. They played for a long time, chasing the frisbee and running around the yard. They even helped mom and Grandpa break all the ice off the cars. They don't even seem to notice the cold and snow at all. Oh well I guess at least one of us dogs are enjoying ourselves.

So that is our current report from the frigid NorthWest. I will continue to stay wrapped up in blanket and stay warm. I think that we will be staying here until after Christmas. Mom doesn't really want to go to work at all, but she has to at least try. So that means we are staying with our Grandparents. We are happy to be here with them, but they seem a little tired of us sitting on our laps. I don't understand why, I mean it is their job to adore me right? Anyway, here's wishing you all a safe and happy MERRY CHRISTMAS from Stitch, Lilo, and Tiki. Oh yeah, and from our Mom also!

Thanksgiving Pics

So I have been hearing from several people that I need to update my blog. I guess more people check my blog than I thought. I guess they will be saddened to know that I really don't lead a very exciting life! That would be why my posts are far between. I doubt that you would all want to hear about me getting up in the morning, playing with the dogs, going to the gym, playing with the dogs some more, going to work, coming home, playing with the dogs and then going to bed. I mean hearing about that type of stuff could be rather boring.

But I do have several pictures from Thanksgiving. The day started out the annual Turkey Bowl. It was very COLD, but we had a good time seeing several friends and families from our old family ward. I also got to hang with my Uncle Mark and family. Even Jake and Jana made it from Utah!! We had a great time in the morning.

Jake and Uncle Mark

The Gang getting ready for some ball!

Hope, Jana, and Uncle Mark, along with Tiki

Jeff playing football

Dad, Uncle Mark, and Cleo (Uncle Mark's Grandaughter)

Hope, Calli, Jana, and Cleo

After that we were back at Mom and Dad's for Thanksgiving Dinner. We had a good time with Aunt Karen, Uncle John, Lindsey, Dan, Katelyn, Jeff, Morgan, Doug, Angie and Madi. We had a very enjoyable dinner and a great time talking with everybody. It is a little hard to believe that we are all growing up and starting famlies of our own! It is funny to watch the next generation play. Madi was sweet with Katelyn. She would be very gentle and give her a kiss, and since she was so nice we would all say "aww, verygood, yeahh" and etc and clap at the same time. So then Madi would keep kissing Katelyn and then start clapping! It was quite funny.

Madi and Katelyn

Katelyn and Lindsey

Jeff, Morgan, and Madi

Me and Lilo

Little Stitch happy at last!

So that was our Thanksgiving weekend. I did also make it to the Civil War game down in Corvallis, but we won't really go into that! It was a very sad and a long drive home. Darn it I wish would have won, but our defense seemed to have other plans. Oh well, I guess there is always next year!

Well I hope this apeases the masses! Or at least Sarah and Misty! If my life gets a little more interesting I will be sure to post it!

Fall Leaves

Tiki of the Disney Dogs here. Man what a day I had today!! The tree in our front yard decided to drop all of its leaves onto our front yard. It looked like a total mess, so I told mom that we needed to clean it up and that I would help. It took some convincing, but finally she relented and we worked on the leaves today. She was a little slow going about it though. It took like an hour and a half. Mom claims that was because she was so tired from working out earlier that morning. She said that her trainer tortured her this morning! I might have to bite him next time he does that. Just kidding, I wouldn't bite anyone!

So here is me running around and getting those leaves rounded up. They were preatty tricky!

And here I am playing with the pile that mom made. It was so deep I almost got lost!

And after all that running, here I am enjoying the comforts of a giant leaf pile.

Mom says that 4 bags of leavs is a lot, and that she doesn't want to see another leaf again in a very long time!

So all in all I feel like I worked hard today. I think I need to take a nap. Mom said the same thing, but then she came in the house and started working on laundry and cleaning the floors and the kitchen. She says that there always seems to be something to do around here, and that I and my brother and sister make some of the mess. Well I say it is Lilo and Stitch's turn to work around the house! Tiki out!

Oregon State Beats Cal!

My team was in fine form this Saturday. We had a great game against the Cal Golden Bears. My best friend Penny and I drove down to the game first thing in the morning and had a great time walking around campus and enjoying a small trip down memory lane. There is just nothing better than a nice crisp fall day, walking around a beutiful college campus, and going to watch your football team get another step closer to a possible Rose Bowl game!! Yes I did say that out loud, and hopefully it doesn't jinx them, but I have to say, that they have not been there in 44 years!! It would be great if they could go, and if I could figure out a way to go!

Anyway, here's to you boys! At the begining of the season most people didn't think you stood a chance, but I knew better! We just have to keep up the good work, beat Arizona and Oregon (I hate the Ducks, but I can't wait to go to the Civil War!) and we are there. I have to limit it to only 7!!! Well that shouldn't be too hard. Personally I don't think that I am that weird! hahahaha

1. I love Saturday morning cartoons! Yes you heard that right. I love getting up in the morning, curling up with a blanket, and watching Transformer, Ben 10: Alien Force, Pokemon, and Batman. Now mind you, I don't seem to have a lot of time for that any more, but when I do, there is nothing better.

2. I bleed Black and Orange. Seriously. You should see the nurses faces when they see it for the first time! Ok not really but GO OREGON STATE BEAVERS!!

3. I love dog shows. Yes I show my dogs in shows like Westminister and like the movie Best in Show. And yes, that movie is more accurate than you would think. I am not crazy like some of the people out there, but the crazy ones are entertaining to watch while you wait your turn. Poodle people and Weimeriner people are seriously the weirdest!

4. I can't eat corn on the cobb. I can cutt the corn off the cobb and then eat it, but not on the cobb. And not for reason's one might think. Just ask Aunt Carla why, and I am sure that she will be able to relay the story.

5. I am a Disney Fanatic! I love Disneyland and spend most of my vacations there. My dogs are even named after Disney characters or rides. Just see the previous blog listings or title!

6. After 30 years of thinking that onions are horrible, stinky, vegetables and that if I eat them I will end up with horrible heartburn, I have discovered that I actually love them! They are great and give things such flavor, and no heartburn!

7. I eat my steak with ketchup. Yep you heard that right. I have tried A-1, Heinz 57, and other steak sauces and I can't stand them. I just want ketchup, which means whenever I go out to eat I end up getting the crazy looks from everyone around me. I'm sorry, but I like what I like!

So there you go. 7 weird things. That was harder than I thought. I had to divulge some horrible dark secrets, that no body knew about, but now you do. So if you want to do this also go for it, but I am not going to tag anyone. But it is a great way for people to get to know some little quirks about you.

Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very bad day...

So why is it when one thing goes wrong, the whole day seems to be ruined!! Even when I try to have a good attitude and have each hit not get me down. But then they just keep coming and coming. So here is my bad day run down.

1. So Lilo still has issues with Tiki. I thought she was getting better, but I was probably deluding myself. Well if I had and delusions left, they have been squashed this morning. I put Tiki in his crate and had let Lilo and Stitch have their turn playing, when she went up to his crate and snarlled at him...again. Nothing new in that, except this time Tiki finally got up enough guts to snarl back. Well that really made Lilo mad and she tried to kill him thru his crate. She hit is crate so hard she moved it several feet and almost flipped it. Needless to say, I went a little postal on her and now she doesn't want anything to do with me. So of course I feel horrible about that, even though she probably desereved it.

2. My tech for worked called in sick last night. So I left early today so that I could get the pharamcy caught up, and could make it until my 9:30am tech came in. Well I got there and realized I forgot my keys to the pharmacy. They are on a seperate ring that I can take off for the weekend and not have a million keys on me all the time. Well no problem, I will just use the back up keys in the lock box in the back. Except I got there, and there were NO KEYS!! The pharmacist from yesterday took the keys home with her by mistake. So I had to drive all the way home, and opened up 5 minutes late.

3. Because I opened late, and had no help, the customers were all mad at me!! Jeesh, like I ment to forget my keys, and have the back up ones missing!! And also have no opening tech, so since there is only me to fill prescriptions for the 10 of you, yes it is going to take me the full 30 minutes! Don't like it, go somewhere else!

4. I am still SICK. My head is congested, my voice is hoarce, I can hardly hear, and every once in a while I get kind of dizzy and light headed. But if I am not there, the pharmacy doesn't open. So I am there.

5. The day was crazy! What did everybody decide to see their doctor at the same time TODAY! I mean seriously, how is it we can be going along at a steady pace, and then all of the sudden, there are 10 people dropping off prescriptions, and 20 faxed in, and 6 voicemails called in, and about 15 phone calls?! All at the same TIME! I just don't understand it. Is there like some biological pulse out in the world that tells everybody to go to the pharmacy.....wait for it....wait for it....and NOW! I kid you not, it is the weirdest thing.

And now I am home, Lilo is still growling at Tiki and I just wish she would disappear! Of course I don't really mean it, I would die if anything happened to her, but I am very frustrated with it all today. So I am ready for the day to end. I just want to curl up into bed and hope that tommorow goes better. I am going to try and look for the silver lining in it all, and when I find it, I will let you all know.

And if you see the silver lining that I can't see right now, let me know. I would appreciate any help I can get. Maybe tommorow will be the super awesome, fun loving, dogs get along, miraculous day I am hoping for. Er....probably not, but here's hoping!

Since when did I have muscles

So as some of you may know I decided that I needed to take charge of my health and start working on loosing weight and getting healthy. So I joined Bally's gym here in town with Dad and Mom. I knew that the only way that I would ever go there was if I hired a personal trainer and started to work with them for a while. So the manager who signed us up introduced mom, dad, and myself to James.

Thanks to James I have now discovered muscles that I truley did not think exsisted. In fact one of the first times I met with him, he made my legs hurt so bad that I could not walk with out say "OW, OW, OW, OW, OW" for a week! Oddly when I told him that, he just smilled and told me to do more squats!! Since then I have slowly started to get better and better, and am usually not sore at all any more. But yesterday I decided to really push myself! I did 30 minutes on the eliptical machine, and then did leg press, leg curls, arm press and a bunch of other things. I actually made myself sore!!

The only problem......I had to work with James this morning! He decided since my legs were already sore, that he would work on my abs and arms. So now my ENTIRE body, from head to toe, is in pain. (Except my fingers, otherwise there is no way I would be typing right now!) I can feel every movement. It sucks. James' name has been followed by a few curse words thru out the day. But I have lost 40lbs and I know I couldn't have done it with out his expertise in torture!

So hopefully as I continue to work out AND watch my diet, I will continue to shrink and find and use new muscles that I didn't have before! Who knows, maybe one day I will even climb the rock wall at the club! Maybe.......

Thank Goodness for Cooking Lessons

So as some of you may know, or you may not, I am the worlds worst cook. Ok let me rephrase that, I am not a bad cook, I just don't know how to cook anything. I blame my mother. She never liked having kids in the kitchen, and just wanted to make dinner and be done with it. And now that I think about, that was probably a good thing, because who really wants to learn how to make spaghetti with Campbells tomato SOUP instead of spaghetti sauce. (if you aren't already, this is the part where you should be saying EWWWWWW!) I can however grill. You need steak, chicken or porked grilled, then I am your girl.

The good news is that I have this fabulous friend, Danita, who is teaching me how to cook and how to enjoy eating all sorts of different things. She learned all these great recipies from her families restaurant that they own at Cannon Beach. (which by the way, the next time you are there you HAVE to go to J.P.'s at Cannon Beach and have the Clam and Salmon Chowder, you will not be sorry!) So far I have learned how to make stirfry, salsa, kota fetta (a nummy chicken, rice and fetta chesse dish) a pasta salad, and tuscan chicken sandwich! Although some of these are not on my life style change program, I do try to keep my portions down and use the healthiest ingrediants possible.

So now the next time you come to visit me and Disney dogs, you won't starve and you may even get a decent home cooked meal. But you eat at YOUR OWN RISK! I make no promises that it will turn out as good without Danita here.

Death to the Orange Spider!

This is Lilo of the Disney Dogs!! I have always loved OSU football since I was kid. Even when they were the worst team in the Pac-10 for 30 years. I remember Dad taking us down to Corvallis as kids and letting us watch the game (in the pooring rain) and yell our guts out supporting our loosing team. But over the past 8 years we FINALLY have a team worth being proud of, most of the time. It can be hard supporting a team that can sometimes be so great, and other times be so off. But this year we have the chance to number 1 in the Pac-10 for the first time in DECADES! It would never have been possible if we hadn't beat USC again this year, but the Beavers pulled it off. (I hate USC!!)

It was hard when they lost to Utah this year. I even flew out to Utah and was at that game. (Along with my best friend and faithful Beaver fan, Penny, and my cousin Jake) They had controll of the game the whole 2nd half and lost their 8 pt. lead, but that's what will seperate the true fans from the fickle. I have been there for the bad, like when we had the heartbreak of loosing to LSU (I hate LSU!!) to the great first USC win in years at the "Opossum" game!! (Did I mention that I hate USC) Right now I am watching James and Quizz Rodgers run all over the Huskies (I love those brothers right now!) and loving every minute of it. (I hate the Huskies.)

So I will continue to root for my team no matter what (although I do hope we never go back to being as bad as we were!!), and root for which ever team is playing against the Ducks. (Except LSU or USC!) I will always bleed BLACK AND ORANGE!! Go BEAVER NATION!

Top 10 things that Pharmacist HATE

So for those of you that don't know, I am a pharmacist. I work at a local pharmacy and most days enjoy my job. But today was one of those days that no matter how hard you tried to help somebody, it was never good enough and they were still mad. So here are the Top 10 things that pharmacists hate when customers get mad at them for things we have no control over.

10. What do you mean I have no refills!
On EVERY bottle it tells you how many refills you have left and when they expire. I can't help that you didn't read it!
9. I have no medicine left, now what am I suppose to do?
Well for starters, pay attention to your refills, and don't wait until you have no meds left before you decide to fill it. We can loan 3-days worth on some meds, but not insulin, inhailers, controlled medications or meds not used on a regular basis. And again why would you wait until you had NO INSULIN left before you would try to refil it!
TIP #1: Call all refills in at least 5 days before you run out of medicine and you usually won't have any problems!
8. What do you mean you don't have the medication in stock!
Contrary to popular belief the pharmacy can not keep stock of every single medicine that has ever been made in the tiny box that we work in. Some things have to be special orderd, and some things are used so rarely that we can't afford to keep an expensive medicine on the shelf only to have it expire and loose money. Also when every one is gettting colds at the same time, we will run out of the same med eventually.
TIP #2: If you have a script for any injectable med, call the pharmacy first and find out if they have it. It will save you gas and a headache from running around town.
7. Why does my insurace require a Prior Authorization when my doctor ordered the medicine.
Doctors often write for medicines that the drug reps have just been there talking about, even when there is a less expensive alternative available. Your insurance company knows this and wants to make sure there is a good reason you need the expensive version, instead of the less expensive medication.
6. I don't have my insurance card, but I have (insert insurace company name here). Can you call them and get my information.
No. There are hundreds of different phone numbers for each company depending on your plan. Telling me Blue Cross does not help, since that are at least 100 different Blue Cross companies and no one is connected to the other.
5. I have my insurace companies phone number can you call them?
No. We help hundreds of patients everday and I don't have time to sit on hold for 20 minutes to get the information you are suppose to have for me! It is your job to prove you have insurance, not our job to track it down!
4. How much does this medicine cost with my insurance?
We don't know until we submit the claim. Meaning we have to type up the script and have the pharmacist approve it before we have any idea what it will cost. If you really want to know before you get it filled, call your insurance before you come.
3. What do you mean I have a (insert high co-pay cost here)!
I don't know either. Your insurance told us what to bill you, and I don't have control of it. Please check your plan before hand to know about your co-pays, covered meds, and possibl deductable.

2. I don't know what meds I need refilled. Just what ever ones you did last month.......and then

come the pharmacy mad because.....I didn't want that filled OR you didn't fill this new one! We are here to make sure that your prescription is filled as written, and that it doesn't interact with your other meds, and that your doctor didn't screw up and try to give you triple the dose that the medication actually calls for. HOWEVER, we are not here to keep track of your 17 meds, when they are due for refils, and when your doctor may have stopped or changed medications with out letting us know. Please take SOME RESPONSIBILITY for your own health care and keep track of when your meds are due and call in the correct ones!

1. My doctor said that was only 4 dollars!

Doctors are STUPID when it comes to the cost of medications. They have NO IDEA what medications cost. And what might seem inexpensive to them, might not seem that way to you!

TIP #3: Don't believe your doctor when they try to tell you anything about the price of medications!

So please pass this information along to those that you know. We love being able to help people and will always try to do our best, but we are not your slaves! We do have laws and rules to follow, and need to focus our time and helping patients, counseling, calling dr's offices and etc. These above things slow us down so that we can't do our jobs effectively, and again are not our faults.

Also, please don't yell at us about the wait times. We know that you have probably just spent 2 hours at the doctor's office and just want to get home, but really is 20 to 30 minutes that long to wait! Not when you realized that we are trying to make sure that you get the right medicine, for the right reasons, and right dosage, and that taking it won't kill you! Please give us the time that we need to make sure no mistake is made on the doctor's part or ours!

Dancing With the Stars

So I admit it. I love Dancing with the Stars. I don't know why, but I have been hooked ever since the first season! I love watching the dancers, the "stars", the drama and even host Tom Bergeron! Last night Chef Rocco DiSpirito was kicked off the show, which was no loss. Though he tried as hard as the other couples, he just didn't have any natural ability. Now if we can only get rid of Chloris Leachman. For an 82 year old women, she does an ok job, but she annoys the heck out of me. She just goes on and on and on about stupid stuff, and delays the show! Sure it is funny for the first 30 seconds, but come on, 2-3 minutes! I feel bad for her partner, he must just go insane working with her! So join me next week, by not voting for Chloris, and vote for Julianne and Cody! (my favorites) Then hopefully we can get her off the show!

And last but not least...

Drum roll please........and this is me! Allyson the crazy owner of the Disney Dogs. I live and work in Washington and have been here for almost 4 years. I love the great northwest and enjoy all the activities around this area. I also really love DISNEYLAND. In fact I just got back a few weeks ago, so I will have pictures to post soon. And I do love my dogs. Over the past 3 years I have discovered the new hobby of showing dogs. Yes just like the movie "Best in Show", and no they didn't really exagerate. Once you have a gone to a few shows, you realize there are some seriously crazy people there. I am fortunatley not one of those people, and will work hard to keep that from happening. But it is a lot of fun.

And when I am not showing dogs or hanging out at Disneyland, I can usually be found at the Pharmacy that I work at. I am the Pharmacy Manager at one of the Wal-Marts here and enjoy doing my job.....most days! I am also in our Relief Society presidency at the singles ward and am trying to attend most of the activities also. I figure I will probably stay single if I shut myself in the house with the dogs all the time! So look for me at an activity near you! And think of me if there are any cute single LDS guys in your area!

Brebeau's Adventures in the Tiki Room by Akilah

Whew! What a mouthful that is. But you can just call him Tiki. This is the newest addition to the family and is and Australian Shepherd. His coloring is called blue merle, and he is very adorable. He is currently 13 weeks old, and I am hoping that he will be my next show dog. He is very promising. He loves to play, eat, play, eat, cause trouble, play with Stitch, and has his ears rubbed. (what dog doesn't) He plays a lot with Stitch, and plays at Dog Care twice a week. He has a bunch of cattle dog friends, and one akita friend. He is very relaxed when at home, and is learning quickly. He has only 2 problems right now. 1) Lilo is not fond of him at all, which means I have to rotate dogs around and they can't be out at the same time with each other. 2) Lilo bit his ear and now he has some scar tissue that is causing it to look funny. So he has to have it rolled, glued, and taped to keep it from taking the wrong shape. Other than that he loves his life and is a very good little puppy.

Adventures Little Hawaiian Girl

This is Lilo, my middle child. And she is truly the middle child! She is also "suppose" to be a Miniature Bull Terrier, but she sort of outgrew the standard. She is bigger then Stitch and all muscle. She loves to play, chew, dig, chew, dig, run, bother Stitch, and lay on my bed! She isn't a show dog, and that is a good thing. She is truly terrified of strangers, and when around new people barks at them to try and keep them away from her. It usually works, she is able to get people to jump back a little with her LOUD bark. She is nervous around everyone except my family, and Aunt Carla! So if you meet her, just ignore her like she isn't there and you will both be fine. She also is not overly fond of Tiki, the newest addition to the family, but is slowly starting to get used to him. But she loves me and her Grandma to pieces, and loves nothing more than to ride in the truck with Grandpa.

Nedere's Adventures with Stitch

So this is my "first born" Stitch.
